Job Description
The Project Architect will lead the development and coordination of architectural projects, ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and client satisfaction while managing team collaboration and project delivery in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of technical aspects and content of architectural projects
- Coordinate work across disciplines to ensure integrated project deliverables
- Verify project compliance through team collaboration
- Lead design, production, coordination, and detailing within a multi-disciplinary team
- Coordinate engineering systems with engineers and consultants
- Partner with Design Leadership to carry through design intent and coordinate project documents
- Prepare design sketches of site plans
- Communicate project status, design intent, and construction updates to stakeholders
- Participate in business development activities to support firm growth
- Perform field site observations and visits
- Develop and maintain positive client relations throughout projects
- Integrate performance-based and sustainable design strategies into projects
- Implement project management processes and best practices to ensure quality and efficiency
- Supervise, train, and direct work of interns and junior team members
- Monitor technical quality and enforce QA/QC standards
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
- Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required.
- Experience on healthcare projects strongly preferred.
- Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
- CDT and LEED accreditation preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Must possess business acumen.
- Must be a critical thinker.
- Must be highly analytical.
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
