Job Description
This role involves designing plumbing and fire protection systems for various building projects, preparing technical drawings and specifications, reviewing shop drawings, and coordinating with clients and project teams, primarily in the context of construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, and commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design plumbing and fire protection systems for building projects
- Prepare calculations and production drawings for plumbing and fire protection systems
- Specify equipment such as sprinklers, sewerage, and medical gas systems
- Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents
- Interface with clients and project team during meetings and site visits
- Conduct field site visits during construction to monitor progress and compliance
- Research and respond to emergent technical issues as needed
- Participate or lead value engineering sessions with the architectural and engineering team
- Mentor and direct activities of less experienced staff
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor in Engineering or Bachelor in Technology.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
- Experience on international projects is preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
- Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs i.e. Revit required.
- Must be willing to perform overtime work and travel.
