Job Description

The BIM Technician is responsible for creating and maintaining BIM CAD drawings for equipment planning, collaborating with medical equipment planners, ensuring drawing accuracy and quality, and supporting project delivery through Revit drafting and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare BIM CAD drawings for equipment planning team
  • Make corrections to drawings based on redlines or verbal instructions
  • Collaborate with equipment planners to ensure drawing quality and project timelines
  • Update and maintain master equipment keynote schedule
  • Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with scope of work
  • Function as backup to other teams as needed
  • Escalate and track issues related to medical equipment

Requirements

  • Proficient understanding of how the aspects of A E, equipment planning, and BIM interact.
  • Ability to prepare details and produce BIM CAD drawings for the equipment planning team.
  • Self-motivated individual who can provide mentorship training.
  • Ability to identify and resolve challenges through close interaction with other team members.
  • Responsibility for the quality of assigned tasks and ensuring drawings are accurate and complete.
  • Experience collaborating with medical equipment planners to develop accurate and complete drawings.
  • Ability to explore areas for innovative project delivery.
  • Provide CAD Revit drafting support to the equipment planning team.
  • Make corrections to drawings from redlines and verbal direction.
  • Collaborate closely with equipment planners to maintain quality of drawings, execute projects on time, and follow best practices.
  • Update and maintain master equipment keynote schedule information.
  • Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with scope of work, ensuring quality of final drawings.
  • Function as backup to other teams as needed.
  • Escalate any issues related to medical equipment and ensure they are tracked and addressed.
  • Must be comfortable with regular extensive travel for client work and internal meetings.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Drafting, Design, Architectural, or Engineering Technology preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
  • Experience utilizing Autodesk Revit software to produce architectural drawings is preferred.
  • General knowledge of A E project delivery processes, milestones, and deliverables is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and awareness of various types of medical equipment devices is a plus.
