Job Description
This intermediate-level interior design role involves leading project development through all phases, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, producing design drawings, evaluating materials, and participating in construction administration, with opportunities for mentorship and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of project goals through all phases including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Evaluate client needs, analyze design objectives, and document spatial requirements.
- Research, evaluate, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) throughout project phases.
- Coordinate design work, standards, and code compliance within the team and with other disciplines.
- Develop interior space designs, including floor plans, elevations, details, and finishes.
- Evaluate and select materials, consult with vendors, and produce drawings within project constraints.
- Assist in project planning, budgeting, and follow through of work plans.
- Participate in and lead client meetings as needed.
- Mentor and supervise less experienced interior design staff.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, review of submittals, and conducting punch lists.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
- Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
- Must be design focused.
- Must be an independent thinker.
- Must be analytical.
- Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
- Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Travel as required.
