Job Description
This position is a senior-level specialist role focused on leading design projects for large laboratory facilities, providing technical expertise, mentoring team members, and collaborating with clients and project teams to develop innovative, sustainable architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-level specialist roles as a subject matter expert on projects, focusing on team and client leadership, mentoring, and improving work quality
- Develop innovative solutions and responses to evolving research needs within the industry
- Lead internal Subject Matter Expert Teams and participate in marketing pursuits
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning for projects
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization
- Communicate planning concepts to project teams, owners, and clients through reports and presentations
- Translate planning concepts into architectural drawings and specifications for construction
- Develop project scope, plans, and services during the contract process, incorporating sustainable design solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree is required.
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
- Must have previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the S T market.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements is required.
- Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline.
- Must possess strong business acumen.
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lead less experienced team members.
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam is required.
