This intermediate-level interior design position involves leading project development through all phases, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, producing design drawings, evaluating materials, and participating in construction administration, within a collaborative and innovative firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of project goals through all phases including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Evaluate client needs, analyze design objectives, and document spatial requirements.
Research, evaluate, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) throughout project phases.
Coordinate design work, standards, and code compliance within the team and with other disciplines.
Develop interior space designs, including floor plans, elevations, details, and finishes.
Select materials and consult with vendors independently.
Produce drawings adhering to project constraints in time, budget, and quality.
Assist in project planning, budgeting, and work plan follow-through.
Participate in and lead client meetings as needed.
Mentor and supervise less experienced interior design staff.
Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits, review of submittals, and punch list completion.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
Must be design focused.
Must be an independent thinker.
Must be analytical.
Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Ability to travel as required.
