Job Description
Assist in the design and development of interior spaces for a large healthcare facility, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and supporting project phases from programming to construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of project goals across all design phases including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Develop interior space designs, including planning, 3D studies, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and details.
- Support in furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) selection, layout, and specifications throughout project phases.
- Produce drawings that meet project time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Research and apply building and life safety codes to interior design work.
- Prepare renderings and presentation materials for client and team review.
- Participate in construction administration activities such as site visits, review of submittals, shop drawings, and punch list procedures.
- Mentor less experienced interior design staff and guide project document development.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in interior design or architecture
- Current NCIDQ certification is preferred
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to participate in the development of projects' technical or design characteristics and content
- Strong creative design portfolio demonstrating design skills
- Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to identify, research, and apply building and life safety codes to interior design work
- Ability to produce drawings in conformance with project time, cost, and quality constraints
- Ability to prepare renderings and other presentation materials
- Must be able to participate in site visits, including physical walk-through of the site
- Professional business attire required for client meetings, including suits, ties, collared dress shirts, dresses, and skirts
- Willingness to travel as required
