Job Description

This role involves leading healthcare architecture projects as a subject matter expert, providing technical expertise, guiding project teams, developing innovative and sustainable design solutions, and maintaining client relationships to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead healthcare projects as a subject matter expert, focusing on team and client leadership, mentoring, and improving work quality
  • Develop innovative solutions and responses to evolving research needs within the industry
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning
  • Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization
  • Communicate planning concepts to project teams and clients through reports, graphics, and verbal explanations
  • Work with architectural designers to optimize plans that meet owners' goals and objectives
  • Translate planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients, designers, and team members
  • Develop, modify, and review planning concepts and solutions
  • Create architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning concepts into construction documentation
  • Develop project scope, plans, and services during the contract process
  • Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential clients
  • Provide guidance and advice to other designers and project leaders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the Healthcare market
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements
  • Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline
  • Must possess business acumen
  • Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to lead less experienced team members
  • Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
  • Must develop project scope, plan, and services during the contract process
  • Must incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects
