Job Description
This role involves leading healthcare architecture projects as a subject matter expert, providing technical expertise, mentoring team members, developing innovative design solutions, and ensuring project delivery aligns with client goals and sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead healthcare projects as a subject matter expert, focusing on team and client leadership, mentoring, and improving work quality
- Develop innovative solutions and responses to evolving research needs within the industry
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization
- Communicate planning concepts to project teams, clients, and owners through reports and presentations
- Work with architectural designers to optimize plans that meet owners' goals and objectives
- Translate planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients and project teams
- Develop, modify, and review planning concepts and solutions
- Create architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning into construction documentation
- Develop project scope, plans, and services during the contract process
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential clients
- Provide guidance and advice to less experienced designers and project leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
- Previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the Healthcare market.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline.
- Must possess business acumen.
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lead less experienced team members.
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam software.
