Job Description
This role is a senior specialist position in architecture and design, focusing on health projects, where the candidate will lead project teams, develop innovative solutions, oversee planning and documentation, and provide expert guidance to clients and team members to ensure high-quality, sustainable design outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-level health projects as a subject matter expert, focusing on team and client leadership, mentoring, and improving work quality
- Develop innovative solutions and responses to evolving research needs within the industry
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization
- Communicate planning concepts to project teams, clients, and owners through reports and presentations
- Work with architectural designers to optimize plans that meet owners' goals and objectives
- Translate planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients, designers, and team members
- Develop, modify, and review planning concepts and solutions
- Create architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning into construction documentation
- Develop project scope, plan, and services during contract negotiations
- Integrate sustainable design solutions into projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential clients
- Provide guidance and advice to less experienced designers and project leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the Health market
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline
- Must possess business acumen
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lead less experienced team members
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
