Job Description
This role involves leading planning and programming efforts on health projects under the supervision of a Licensed Architect, including developing innovative solutions, collaborating with project teams, communicating concepts to clients, and integrating sustainable design practices to meet client goals and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead programming and planning for health projects in collaboration with project teams.
- Conduct user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
- Communicate planning concepts to clients, designers, and project teams through reports and presentations.
- Develop, modify, and review planning concepts and solutions.
- Assist in creating architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning into construction documents.
- Contribute to developing project scope, plans, and services during the contract process.
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide guidance to design team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree required
- Minimum 8 years of related experience required
- Prior experience performing as a subject matter expert on Health projects
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must possess business acumen
- Must be a critical thinker
- Must be highly analytical
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work
- Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client is essential
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam required
