A healthcare project architect or planner responsible for programming, planning, and developing architectural solutions for healthcare facilities, with a focus on innovation, client communication, and sustainable design, under the supervision of licensed architects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform as a subject matter expert and planner on healthcare projects.
Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
Participate in user group meetings to collect and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
Communicate planning concepts to project teams and clients through reports and presentations.
Assist in developing architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning concepts into construction documents.
Contribute to the development and review of planning concepts and solutions.
Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.
Develop project scope, plan, and services during the contract process.
Maintain relationships with clients and provide guidance to other designers and project leaders.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree required.
Minimum 6 years of related experience, with at least 2 years of previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on healthcare projects.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Must possess working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
Must be analytical.
Must be an independent thinker.
Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam required.
Travel required.
