Job Description

This role involves providing technical expertise and planning for healthcare projects, collaborating with project teams to develop innovative design solutions, and translating concepts into architectural documentation under the supervision of licensed professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform as a subject matter expert and planner on healthcare projects under supervision.
  • Develop innovative solutions and responses to evolving research needs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
  • Participate in user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
  • Communicate planning concepts to project teams and clients through reports and presentations.
  • Work with architectural designers to optimize plans aligning with owners' goals.
  • Translate planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients and team members.
  • Contribute to the development, modification, and review of planning concepts and solutions.
  • Assist in creating architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning into construction documents.
  • Support development of project scope, plans, and services during contract negotiations.
  • Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.
  • Maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on healthcare projects.
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  • Must possess working knowledge and experience in relevant skills, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
  • Must be analytical.
  • Must be an independent thinker.
  • Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
