Job Description
The Environmental Graphic Designer III is responsible for creating detailed and innovative visual solutions for high-end workplace, healthcare, and sports environments, collaborating with design teams to develop concepts, signage, and exhibits that enhance spatial experiences and communicate client identities.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the design process from concept development through artwork production.
- Translate client needs and ideas into compelling design concepts that express their mission and purpose.
- Execute projects from strategy to final design, including creating detailed solutions across various media.
- Develop documentation for design projects such as graphic programs, signage systems, and exhibits.
- Produce camera-ready artwork for fabrication.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members, vendors, fabricators, and outside consultants.
- Create visualizations and mockups of signage and graphic content on digital models.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience required.
- Exceptional design portfolio demonstrating a strong background in a variety of markets with a particular focus on high-end workplace environments.
- Strong typography skills.
- Robust communication skills and proven strategies for collaborating in fast-moving, complex project teams.
- Demonstrated skill and interest in 3-dimensional design, wayfinding, exhibition design, and environments.
- Working knowledge and experience in all phases of the design process for medium to large projects.
- Basic understanding of project management.
- Analytical and independent thinker with attention to detail.
- Proficiency on Mac in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required.
- Skills in Revit and SketchUp are a plus.
