Job Description
The Environmental Graphic Designer II is responsible for creating innovative visual solutions for various environments, including signage, wayfinding, exhibits, and branding, collaborating with design teams from concept to production to enhance spatial experiences for clients across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the design process from concept development through artwork production.
- Translate client needs and ideas into compelling design concepts that express their mission and purpose.
- Support project execution from storyboard to final design, creating detailed solutions across various media.
- Develop documentation for graphic programs, signage systems, donor recognition, and interpretive exhibits.
- Produce camera-ready artwork for fabrication.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members during design critique and project development.
- Create visualizations and mockups of signage and graphic content on digital models.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field required.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
- Strong design portfolio and background in a variety of markets.
- Strong typography skills.
- Proficiency on Mac in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required.
- Demonstrated skill and interest in 3-dimensional design, wayfinding, exhibition design and environments.
- Must have a working knowledge and experience in all phases of the design process.
- Must be analytical and an independent thinker.
- Attention to detail is a must.
