Job Description
Assist in designing and preparing electrical construction drawings and specifications for building projects across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and commercial, while supporting project coordination, site visits, and compliance with electrical codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare basic construction drawings and specifications for electrical systems under supervision
- Design electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, communications, and fire alarm systems for various building types
- Analyze engineering documents and layout systems for components and parts
- Research and respond to design issues
- Apply electrical codes to building power distribution and circuiting
- Recommend improvements to enhance quality, coordination, and efficiency
- Review and markup shop drawings and submittals
- Gather information to respond to RFIs and review change orders
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor in Engineering or Bachelor in Technology required.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience required.
- Must have strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, Navisworks or similar applications preferred.
