This role involves leading architectural planning and design development for higher education projects, including creating master plans, feasibility studies, and sustainable design solutions, under the supervision of a licensed architect within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design programming, development, and review of planning concepts for higher education projects, including drafting master plans.
Utilize design and analysis tools such as Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and QGIS to develop feasibility studies and space needs assessments.
Assist in creating architectural planning concept drawings and specifications to translate planning ideas into construction documents.
Implement sustainable design solutions within architectural projects.
Prepare architectural presentations for clients.
Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program requirements and assess space utilization.
Communicate planning concepts to project teams and owners.
Attend field site inspections to oversee project progress.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field is required.
Must have at least 5 years of experience leading the design programming, development, and modification review of planning concepts solutions for higher education design projects, including drafting master plans.
Proficiency in utilizing Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Qualtrics Mirto to develop feasibility studies and space needs assessments.
Experience assisting in the development of architectural planning concept drawings and specifications to translate planning concepts into project documentation for construction.
