Job Description

This role involves leading the Education market within CannonDesign's Denver office by driving business development, client engagement, team leadership, and market growth initiatives, with a focus on delivering innovative design solutions and fostering long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead high-performance, diverse teams focused on the Education market.
  • Create and execute the Market Business Plan to drive market growth and differentiation.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve top-line revenue targets.
  • Lead client engagement at high levels, managing project-specific work and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Promote the firm's brand externally and internally through speaking, writing, and other activities.
  • Advance strategic initiatives, market differentiation, and client pursuit strategies.
  • Manage the overall top-line results and profitability of the market.
  • Assess, mentor, and recruit staff to build a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive team.
  • Partner with clients at a high level to ensure client satisfaction and future opportunities.
  • Develop market intelligence, strategy, and differentiation to stay ahead of market trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 12 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Education Market.
  • Strong presentation skills are essential.
  • Exceptional client and people leadership skills are required.
  • Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully are essential.
  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy are needed.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
  • Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
  • Some travel is required.
