Job Description
This position involves collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to develop architectural designs, produce detailed plans using Revit, and assist in project coordination and presentation efforts under the supervision of a Licensed Architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, select, coordinate, and detail architectural components independently and as part of a team
- Develop and manage REVIT models to produce plans, elevations, sections, and details
- Create preliminary design sketches for small to moderate-sized site plans
- Coordinate project documents with other disciplines and assist in engineering system integration
- Contribute to design and concept development, including presentation efforts using various software
- Review shop drawing submittals and participate in field site observations
- Attend and actively participate in project team meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture required.
- Minimum 4 years of related professional experience required.
- Proficiency with Revit required.
- Proficiency with Enscape required.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Must be able to independently develop and manage the REVIT model to produce plans, elevations, and sections.
- Must be able to produce REVIT section and plan details within all architectural phases with limited direction.
- Must be able to prepare preliminary design sketches of small to moderate-sized site plans.
- Must be able to communicate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of project documents.
- Must be able to assist in the development of design and concept drawings.
- Must be able to assist in coordination of engineering systems with engineers.
- Must be able to review shop drawing submittals with some guidance from the Project Architect.
- Must be able to participate in field site observations, which may involve a physical walk-through of the site.
- Must be able to attend and actively participate in project team meetings.
- Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.
- Actively pursuing Architectural Registration in Canada preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects are required.
- Ability to participate in the development of projects’ technical or design characteristics and content.
