Job Description

A Field Technical Specialist conducts inspections and assessments of industrial structures and equipment, collaborates with engineers to develop repair plans, and ensures project compliance through data analysis and quality control, primarily supporting field operations across North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and field condition assessments of industrial structures and equipment
  • Perform field measurements to collect data for analysis and reporting
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop repair plans based on assessment findings
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control protocols to ensure project compliance
  • Analyze inspection data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
  • Support safety planning and promote a safe working environment for personnel

Requirements

  • Possess a 2-year technical degree.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to perform inspection for field condition assessments of industrial structures and equipment.
  • Be willing to travel up to 50% throughout North America to support field operations.
  • Be able to perform field measurements to gather data for analysis and reporting.
  • Be able to collaborate with engineers to create effective repair plans based on assessment findings.
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control protocols to ensure project compliance.
  • Analyze inspection data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to safety planning and promote a safe working environment for personnel.
  • Prior to deployment on any field assignment, meet all client-specific site requirements, including but not limited to: physical mobility on the ground and at heights, ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs, work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms or scaffolding using appropriate fall protection.
  • Work in all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, and wind while wearing appropriate PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, earplugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and steel-toed work boots.
  • Position oneself to work in confined spaces as required.
  • Adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site.
  • Meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site.
