Job Description
The Technical Lead at Blueland is responsible for guiding the technical design and implementation of key features within a Shopify Remix headless e-commerce platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions, and shaping engineering processes in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and execution of key features and initiatives.
- Partner with product managers and UX designers to translate strategic objectives into scalable solutions.
- Guide and oversee the engineering team on project execution and best practices.
- Determine and implement the best technical approaches for solving customer problems within a Shopify Remix headless e-commerce environment.
- Shape engineering processes and workflows to ensure high code quality and consistency.
- Review pull requests and maintain high standards across the contractor engineering team.
Requirements
- Experience leading the technical design and execution of key features and initiatives in a software development environment.
- Ability to partner with Digital Product Managers and Senior UX Designers to translate strategic objectives into robust, scalable solutions.
- Proven experience guiding and reviewing a team of engineers, including reviewing pull requests to ensure high code quality and consistency.
- Hands-on experience in technical decision-making related to software development projects.
- Experience solving customer problems within a Shopify Remix headless e-commerce platform.
- Ability to help shape engineering processes and workflows to ensure efficiency and quality across a contractor engineering team.
- Demonstrated passion for creating and maintaining excellent user experiences.
- Experience working in a fast-growing company environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in translating strategic objectives into technical solutions that are scalable and maintainable.
- Experience working with or knowledge of e-commerce platforms, specifically Shopify Remix or similar headless commerce solutions.
- Availability to work in a full-time capacity, with the ability to meet the demands of the role.
