Job Description
The Technical Lead at Blueland is responsible for guiding the technical design and implementation of key features within their e-commerce platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions, and shaping engineering processes in a fast-growing, mission-driven company focused on sustainable products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and execution of key features and initiatives.
- Partner with product managers and UX designers to translate strategic objectives into scalable solutions.
- Guide and review the engineering team on implementation and code quality.
- Determine and implement the best technical approaches for solving customer problems within a Shopify Remix headless e-commerce environment.
- Shape engineering processes and workflows to ensure consistency and high-quality code across the team.
Requirements
- Experience leading the technical design and execution of key features and initiatives in a software development environment.
- Ability to partner with Digital Product Managers and Senior UX Designers to translate strategic objectives into robust, scalable solutions.
- Proven experience guiding a team of engineers on execution, including reviewing pull requests to ensure high code quality.
- Hands-on experience in determining and implementing the best approach for solving customer problems within a Shopify Remix headless e-commerce space.
- Experience shaping engineering processes and workflows to ensure consistency and high-quality code across a contractor engineering team.
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain excellent user experiences through technical leadership.
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role or similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including code review, process improvement, and scalable architecture.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers and designers.
- Ability to work in a fast-growing company environment with a hands-on, engaged approach.
