Job Description
A Category Manager at Blueland is responsible for driving retail growth by analyzing data, developing strategies to increase shelf presence and market share, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's expansion into new stores and markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead retail insights analytics to support growth strategies
- Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to develop consumer-centric recommendations
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for increasing shelf presence and market share
- Develop strategies to drive category growth within natural cleaning retail partners
Requirements
- Proven experience in a data-driven category management role, with the ability to turn data into insights and develop strategies to grow shelf presence and market share.
- Experience in retail insights analytics, partnering closely with sales, product marketing, brand marketing, finance, and operations teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop consumer-centric, data-backed recommendations to drive category growth and brand expansion.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
- Strong understanding of retail environments, including key retail partners such as Target, Costco, Whole Foods Market, HEB, and Kroger.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable strategies.
- Experience in natural or cleaning product categories is preferred but not explicitly required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present insights and strategies to stakeholders.
- Ability to champion the company's mission through data-backed consumer-centric recommendations.
- This role reports to the VP of Retail Sales, so experience working in a similar reporting structure is preferred.
