Job Description
The Data Analyst at Aurora will analyze and interpret large datasets related to autonomous vehicle performance, develop reports and dashboards for executive and external stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions that support the company's development and commercialization of self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and present executive-level reports and dashboards with actionable insights.
- Manage external-facing data reports for customers, partners, and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate data insights visually to effectively convey analysis, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with stakeholders to design and implement metrics and dashboards for performance measurement and improvement.
- Translate data findings into business recommendations and measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams on data analytics projects.
- Ensure adoption of best practices in data science and analytics, and suggest improvements.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar technical role.
- Proven experience taking Data Analytics projects end-to-end, from synthesizing business needs to building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency with relational databases such as SQL and PostgreSQL, and knowledge of Data Engineering best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of data analytics infrastructure, including experience with data transformation tools like DBT and various visualization frameworks tools.
- Competency in Python, demonstrated by the ability to write readable, maintainable, and easily interpretable code.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate and cascade executive input into actionable, data-driven technical analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
