Job Description
The Staff Software Engineer in Full Stack Fleet Intelligence will design and lead the development of scalable web services and data systems that enhance autonomous vehicle operations and fleet optimization, providing technical leadership and mentorship across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the development of scalable full-stack web services for real-time and offline data flows.
- Provide technical leadership, influence best practices, and guide system design and deployment across multiple teams.
- Develop and deploy robust backend services, APIs, and data pipelines to support fleet optimization and autonomy improvements.
- Mentor and grow engineering team members, promoting engineering excellence through code reviews and design discussions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define technical roadmaps and drive complex projects from inception to completion.
- Translate operational data and autonomy metrics into actionable insights via operator-facing tools and APIs.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of industry experience in software development, with a proven track record of designing, building, and operating large-scale full-stack systems.
- Deep expertise in both front-end and back-end development, including scalable web services, distributed systems, and modern API design.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, driving technical strategy, influencing architectural decisions, and mentoring senior engineers.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams and present technical solutions to a diverse audience.
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices such as AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring alerting systems.
