Job Description
The role involves leading and ensuring the integrity of software development processes for autonomous vehicle systems, with a focus on safety standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE, to support the deployment of safe and reliable self-driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and ensure the integrity of the software development process, including ASPICE conformance and alignment with ISO 26262.
- Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring processes are well-defined, scalable, and consistently applied.
- Interpret and apply safety standards and requirements to deterministic and probabilistic software systems.
- Tailor and implement verification, validation, and design traceability strategies to meet industry standards.
- Collaborate on risk assessments and safety case development, ensuring safety-related evidence and compliance are integrated.
- Provide technical leadership and cross-functional alignment on software safety, quality, and risk management in safety-critical environments.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- Five or more years experience in a safety critical industry with safety-critical software development standards, and requirements-driven software verification and validation strategies
- Significant experience in software systems engineering, software process definition, software quality, or safety-critical development
- Strong working knowledge of Automotive SPICE ASPICE
- Proficiency in ISO 26262
- Demonstrated understanding of the differences between deterministic and probabilistic software, particularly related to Code coverage strategies, Requirements and design traceability, Verification and validation approaches
- Experience with risk assessments and safety cases
- Ability to interpret and apply ISO 26262 and ASPICE requirements across Deterministic software systems and Probabilistic and learning-based software systems
- Experience supporting Risk Assessment and Safety Case activities, including collaborating as the SPC for software risk assessment and safety case deliverables
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Base salary range of $171,000 - $247,000 per year
