Job Description
The Workplace Lead at Aurora is responsible for managing the daily operations, maintenance, and vendor relations of the Pittsburgh offices, while leading a team to ensure operational excellence, safety, and office functionality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the workplace team through mentorship and performance reviews
- Oversee administrative operations including procurement, invoice reconciliation, and budget tracking
- Administer the workplace ticketing system (Jira), triaging, categorizing, and resolving tasks
- Perform hands-on maintenance such as repairs, furniture assembly, and preventative building system maintenance
- Coordinate vendor relations, scheduling, site access, and ensuring safety and quality standards
- Conduct facility inspections, safety checks, and maintain maintenance records
- Manage office logistics including supply inventory, office moves, and coordination with partner teams
- Support internal and external events, including food service arrangements
- Respond to facility-related emergencies outside regular hours to coordinate vendor response and resolve issues
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in workplace operations or facilities management, with a minimum of 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
- Proven experience processing invoices, managing purchase orders, and using ticketing systems such as Jira or Zendesk to manage team workflows.
- Must possess a valid driver s license and reliable transportation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and interact professionally with executive leadership and vendors.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds, bend, stoop, stand for extended periods, and safely work from ladders to perform job-related duties.
- A self-starter who can manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and maintain a high level of responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range of $83,000 - $107,000
