Job Description
The Staff Product Designer will be responsible for designing the command center overseer experience for autonomous trucks, creating intuitive tools and workflows to monitor and manage vehicle activity in real-time, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality, safety-critical operational interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design of the Command Center overseer experience for monitoring autonomous truck activity.
- Identify and address high-priority pain points in operations monitoring and intervention workflows.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate how the Aurora Driver communicates with the Command Center.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop solutions supporting fleet operations.
- Present design rationale to leadership and contribute to design processes and culture.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in product design, with a track record of leading complex, multi-workstream projects
- A portfolio of exceptional product design and craft
- Experience designing operational tools, dashboards, or workflow management systems
- Strong interaction design skills with a high bar for visual design
- Ability to translate complex, evolving information architectures into intuitive and functional user experiences
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and drive cross-functional alignment with minimal support, identifying problems others might miss

Base salary range: 154K - 223K per year
