Job Description
Operate and supervise autonomous-enabled box trucks in middle-mile logistics, working closely with engineering teams to test and refine self-driving technology while ensuring safety and compliance in a fast-growing autonomous trucking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 26-30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising onboard autonomous driving systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test, evaluate, and refine autonomous vehicle technology
- Monitor system performance using onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software
- Conduct test runs, document unusual behavior, and provide actionable feedback
- Maintain high alertness and safety standards, intervening as necessary following safety guidelines
Requirements
- Three (3) years of professional truck driving experience, including at least one (1) year operating 26 to 30 ft box trucks in manual mode.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to operate 26-30 ft box trucks in manual mode while supervising onboard autonomous driving systems.
- Comfortable with technology and able to learn new applications related to onboard screens, diagnostic tools, and software.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexible availability to work rotating or variable shifts, including night shifts from 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM, five days per week including weekends.
- Excellent judgment under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to write clear, simple reports.
- Physical ability to operate and supervise large trucks and onboard autonomous systems safely.
- Ability to perform test runs, monitor system performance, document unusual behavior, and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Ability to stay highly alert and safety-focused at all times, following DOT and company safety guidelines.
