Job Description
The role involves developing and maintaining data pipelines and storage systems for Aurora's self-driving technology platform, focusing on efficient data ingestion, lifecycle management, and system optimization to support autonomous vehicle development and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data ingestion, offloading, and lifecycle management systems for autonomy sensor data, vehicle logs, and training sets.
- Design efficient storage patterns for autonomous vehicle logs balancing performance and cost.
- Improve data availability, discoverability, and data hygiene across the organization.
- Support software engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to meet company objectives related to data systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in software engineering or a similar role
- Proficiency in programming with GoLang and Python
- General knowledge of backend software systems including networking, load balancing, API gateways, system security, and gRPC services
- Experience with AWS infrastructure, specifically including S3 and DynamoDB in a production commercial system
- Knowledge of database design, database management, and database scalability

Base salary range of $105,000 - $157,000 per year
