Job Description
The Control Systems Software Engineer will design, develop, and verify motion control algorithms for Aurora's self-driving vehicle platform, ensuring safety, robustness, and performance in a safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and verify motion control algorithms for the Aurora Driver system
- Analyze control system performance in offline and on-road environments
- Verify the robustness of control systems against disturbances, failures, and environmental conditions
Requirements
- Experience building production-quality C code with at least 8 years of experience working on control systems for vehicle platforms in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or related fields.
- Experience in control system design with a solid foundation in control theory.
- Experience analyzing and simulating nonlinear vehicle dynamics.
- Knowledge of state estimation and signal processing techniques.
- Ability to develop motion control algorithms for a safety-critical system.
- Ability to analyze control system performance in both offline and on-road execution environments.
- Ability to verify the robustness of the control system to disturbances, failure modes, and environmental conditions.
