Job Description
The Service Engineering Technician at Aurora is responsible for developing and validating repair strategies for the Aurora Driver, troubleshooting hardware issues, upgrading components, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal fleet performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate complex repair strategies for Aurora Driver components
- Troubleshoot hardware issues using diagnostic tools and logical diagnostic approaches
- Upgrade hardware components to maintain fleet performance
- Collaborate with hardware teams to identify and resolve technical issues
- Document repairs, upgrades, and diagnostic findings for continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience using OEM diagnostic tools, methodologies, and logical troubleshooting frameworks.
- Hands-On Attitude with the ability to solve difficult challenges and expedite repairs.
- Attention to Detail with the ability to follow complex technical instructions with precision.
- Excellent cross-team communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well with teams across the hardware organization.
- Experience with Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo diagnostics tools and certifications.
- Develop and validate complex repair procedures and strategies for Aurora Driver components.
- Troubleshoot hardware faults utilizing a logical diagnostic approach and upgrade components as needed.
- Maintain precise documentation of repairs, upgrades, and diagnostic findings to support continuous improvement.
