Job Description
The role involves leading cross-functional programs related to autonomous sensing and perception systems for self-driving vehicles, translating technical roadmaps into actionable plans, coordinating with engineering teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of perception capabilities across various hardware and geographic scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large cross-functional programs focused on Autonomy Sensing Perception engineering.
- Translate company roadmap into a technical sensing perception roadmap with milestones and metrics.
- Prioritize work based on customer and business needs, and facilitate tradeoff discussions.
- Coordinate and define the evolution of data sourcing, simulation, model training, and testing among partner teams.
- Develop product requirements, metrics, and dashboards to track execution and performance.
- Manage program schedules, conduct reviews, and communicate with executive stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in staffing and processes within Autonomy Sensing.
- Provide strategic guidance on data sourcing strategies, including real-world sourcing versus simulation.
- Mentor and lead in product and program management best practices, ensuring effective team execution.
- Understand technical architectures and propose alternatives to support project goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer in an autonomous systems, robotics, machine learning, or software development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Information Systems, or a related area, or the equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
- A strong familiarity with robotics or computer vision systems and their architecture or broad background with machine learning or data systems.
- Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges, and risks, with the ability to work closely with engineers.

Base salary range of $197,000 to $285,000 per year
