Job Description
The role involves leading financial planning and analysis functions to support Aurora's commercialization efforts, partnering with senior leadership to drive strategic decisions, manage budgets, and improve financial processes within a fast-paced, innovative autonomous vehicle company.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor the Corporate FP&A, G&A Business Finance, and Financial Systems Business Intelligence teams
- Lead consolidated internal financial analysis, reporting, and annual planning processes
- Serve as a subject matter expert on factors affecting company financial performance and influence leadership decision-making
- Develop and evolve business partnerships with other finance functions such as Commercial, Product, IR, Accounting, Corporate Development, and Procurement
- Drive continuous improvement and simplification of finance processes
- Execute strategic initiatives by collaborating cross-functionally to develop ROI analyses and provide sound recommendations
- Prepare and present financial reports and insights to executive and senior leadership
Requirements
- Ten (10) years of relevant work experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or finance at a large company or high growth start-up.
- Degree in Finance or related quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Math, or Statistics.
- Experience scaling corporate FP&A functions by leveraging advanced FP&A tools and systems and corporate accounting systems such as Pigment, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Proven ability to partner with business leadership to develop and implement business strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
- Experience preparing and presenting financial reporting for executive stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment delivering on tight deadlines without sacrificing analytical rigor and at times working outside normal business hours.
- Proactive, self-motivated professional with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to execute with limited supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a succinct manner.

Compensation/salary range: $143,000 - $229,000 per year
