Job Description
The Program Manager, People Team at Aurora is responsible for driving the execution of strategic programs related to talent management and organizational initiatives, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business problems into project charters and manage project timelines to ensure successful completion.
- Identify missing pieces in chaotic situations and create structure to navigate ambiguity.
- Align stakeholders, flag risks early, and prevent silos by serving as a connector between the People team and the broader business.
- Design communication plans, messaging, and adoption strategies to facilitate change management and workforce engagement.
- Continuously seek process improvements while delivering on programs and projects.
- Remove blockers, streamline processes, and ensure meetings are decisive and actionable to enhance team effectiveness.
Requirements
- Experience typically 4 years managing complex programs in a high-growth environment, consulting firm, or large organization, with the ability to show examples of successfully delivered messy projects.
- Proven program fluency and high agency accountability, demonstrated by the ability to track, prioritize, and drive projects without needing reminders, and to find ways to get unstuck when stuck.
- Ability to discuss strategy with senior leaders and coordinate logistics, synthesize complex data into clear narratives, and provide clear written and verbal communications to employees.
- Comfortable with project management tools such as Monday.com and Jira, and able to use data to inform decisions.
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday and Greenhouse is a bonus.
- Must work on-site at Aurora’s office locations in Mountain View, CA, San Francisco, CA, or Pittsburgh, PA, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at a minimum.
- This is an in-person position requiring physical presence at the office on specified days.
