Job Description

The Program Manager, People Team at Aurora is responsible for executing and managing complex HR and organizational programs, driving strategic initiatives, facilitating change management, and ensuring stakeholder alignment to support the company's growth and culture in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive program strategy execution by translating concepts into project plans, managing timelines, and ensuring completion.
  • Navigate ambiguous situations by creating structure and identifying missing pieces.
  • Serve as a liaison between the People team and the broader business to ensure stakeholder alignment and risk management.
  • Design and implement change management strategies, including communication plans and adoption strategies.
  • Continuously seek process improvements while delivering on programs and projects.
  • Remove blockers, streamline processes, and facilitate effective meetings to enhance team productivity.

Requirements

  • Proven Program Fluency Experience typically 4 years managing complex programs in a high-growth environment, consulting firm, or large organization, with the ability to show examples of messy projects successfully delivered.
  • High Agency Accountability, demonstrated by the ability to track, prioritize, and drive projects without needing reminders, and to find ways to get unstuck when encountering obstacles.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing strategy with senior leaders, coordinating logistics, synthesizing complex data into clear narratives, and providing clear written and verbal communications to employees.
  • Comfortable with project management tools such as Monday.com and Jira, with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday and Greenhouse is a bonus.
  • Willingness and ability to work in-person at the company's office locations in Mountain View, CA or Pittsburgh, PA, at least three days per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays).
  • Ability to operate effectively in a hybrid work environment that emphasizes in-person collaboration, empathy, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, including designing communication plans, messaging, and adoption strategies to ensure workforce embrace of implemented changes.
  • Ability to serve as a connector between the People team and broader business stakeholders, ensuring alignment, early risk flagging, and avoiding silos.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage project timelines, define project scope, and manage the what, why, and how of program execution.
  • Attitude focused on continuous improvement, with a mindset geared towards enhancing processes while delivering on programs and projects.
  • Physical and mental capacity to handle the demands of managing complex programs in a dynamic environment.

Benefits & Perks

Base salary range of 100k - 162k per year
