Job Description
The Summer GIS Project Associate at RES supports geospatial projects related to ecological restoration and water resources, gaining skills in GIS software, data analysis, mapping, and field data collection while collaborating with a team of experts to make an environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist geospatial analysts with spatial data analysis, map creation, and site selection analysis
- Support the development of field data collection applications and process drone imagery
- Create static and online maps using GIS software and online platforms
- Perform data organization, management, and systems administration tasks
- Collaborate with team members on geospatial projects and tasks
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geography, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Natural Resource Management, Engineering, Programming or a related field
- Ability to use ArcGIS Pro to create maps and perform spatial analysis
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
Benefits & Perks
Compensation: Hourly pay range of $18 to $20 USD
Work schedule: Summer assignment from May to August, negotiable based on schedule
