Job Description

The role involves leading talent management, strategic workforce planning, and performance review initiatives to support organizational growth and success, primarily through designing and implementing HR strategies, developing talent pipelines, and fostering a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and improve talent management processes including talent review, succession planning, career frameworks, and development programs.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic workforce planning framework to analyze current capabilities, forecast future needs, and identify talent gaps.
  • Own and refine the performance review cycle, ensuring it supports a high-performance culture through objective setting, feedback, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to align workforce strategies with business goals and growth projections.
  • Create data-driven models and dashboards to track workforce metrics, trends, and the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on Talent Management, Workforce Planning, and Performance Management.
  • Proven experience partnering directly with C-suite executives within a rapidly scaling organization.
  • Experience designing and implementing Strategic Workforce Planning frameworks and models.
  • Proven success in running large-scale, complex HR programs such as the annual performance cycle and talent review.
  • Highly proficient in using Workday and other HR systems tools to extract, analyze, and present data-driven insights to senior leaders.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. approximately 10% of the time.
  • Must work in-office at least 3 days per week, specifically Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, at the designated office location.
  • This position can be located in Mountain View, CA; San Francisco, CA; Pittsburgh, PA; or Seattle, WA.
  • The role involves designing, implementing, and continuously improving HR functions including Talent Management, Strategic Workforce Planning, and Performance Review processes.
  • Lead the design and administration of company-wide Talent Review and Succession Planning processes to identify, assess, and develop employees for critical roles.
  • Develop and manage career pathing frameworks and competency models to support employee growth and organizational agility.
  • Oversee deployment of targeted development programs such as leadership training and mentorship programs to close skill gaps.
  • Integrate diversity and inclusion principles into all talent management and succession processes.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive Strategic Workforce Planning framework to analyze current workforce capabilities and forecast future talent needs based on business strategy.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation to align workforce strategies with business goals, budget, and growth projections.
  • Identify critical talent gaps, surpluses, and skill adjacencies, and develop mitigation strategies such as build, buy, or borrow.
  • Develop data-driven models and dashboards to track key workforce metrics, trends (internal and external), and the efficacy of SWP initiatives.
  • Own and refine the end-to-end Performance Review cycle, including objective setting, check-ins, year-end reviews, calibration, and compensation planning.
  • Ensure the performance review system supports a high-performance culture with clear expectations, continuous feedback, and fair, objective evaluation.
  • Educate managers and employees on performance management best practices and effective coaching.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, ensure consistency, and recommend improvements to drive higher employee engagement and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the People Technology team to design and implement system enhancements that streamline the performance review cycle and improve user experience.
  • Demonstrate a business athlete mindset, deeply knowledgeable about the business and industry, capable of navigating ambiguity, pivoting quickly, and solving complex problems without a pre-existing playbook.
  • Recognize organizational connections and take a holistic approach to analyzing situations and developing sustainable solutions that account for system interdependencies.
  • Translate long-term business strategy into concrete talent and workforce initiatives.
  • Use data and insights proactively to diagnose issues, inform recommendations, influence decisions, and measure work impact.
  • Deliver high-quality results through leading projects and initiatives with milestones and delivery schedules, developing clear action plans with results-oriented success metrics.
  • Possess resilience and a growth mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment and energize others.
  • Build trust and credibility with business leaders as a subject matter expert and work effectively across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, seeking out and applying HR best practices and technology solutions.
  • Lead organizational change and ensure successful adoption of new HR processes.
  • Ability to work in-person at the Aurora office at least 3 days per week, with the role requiring presence in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
