Job Description
The FP&A Analyst at Aurora will lead procurement performance analysis, develop financial models, optimize dashboards, and drive process improvements to support strategic finance and procurement initiatives in a fast-growing technology company focused on self-driving mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and track Purchasing KPIs and spend down targets by category
- Analyze vendor spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and monitor progress
- Create and maintain financial models for evaluating supplier contracts and pricing scenarios
- Build and optimize dashboards to monitor procurement performance, compliance, and savings
- Prepare spend reports and forecasts, supporting a rolling 90-day indirect spend plan
- Present procurement performance reports to leadership
- Review and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on data analysis
- Drive system automation and ensure data integrity to enhance procurement processes
- Leverage analytics and data tools to support broader FP&A and strategic finance responsibilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Finance and/or Procurement roles in large and/or fast-growing companies.
- Significant experience working in public companies with quarterly reporting requirements.
- Ability to operate successfully in dynamic environments, identify process improvements, and implement process changes with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of procurement, accounting, and FP&A systems and processes, and how they integrate.
- Ability to pivot seamlessly between granular details and big picture strategic topics, identifying connections between the two.
- Familiarity with advanced FP&A tools and systems and corporate accounting systems such as Pigment, Coupa, and NetSuite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to senior executive audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience developing and maintaining financial models to evaluate supplier contracts, pricing scenarios, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Experience leading the development of procurement KPIs, analyzing vendor spend, and tracking progress against spend down targets.
- Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing dashboards to track procurement performance, cycle times, vendor compliance, and savings initiatives.
- Experience preparing monthly and quarterly spend reporting and forecasts, and leveraging analytics and data tools to support a rolling 90-day planning process for indirect spend.
- Ability to review SOPs, identify process gaps based on empirical data analysis, and drive process standardization and improvement.
- Experience driving system automation and data integrity to enhance scalable processes.
- Experience with BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, and data warehouse, ETL processes, and SQL is a plus.
- CPA or international equivalent, CFA, or MBA is preferred but not required.
- Expert-level skills in GSuite, particularly Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides.
- Experience with Pigment, Coupa, and/or NetSuite is a plus.
