Job Description
The Project Surveyor is responsible for supporting survey projects related to residential, commercial, and transportation developments by collaborating with project teams, reviewing survey data, and ensuring project scope and budgets are met, while utilizing expertise in boundary and ALTA surveys, GPS, and related tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers during proposal and project planning to establish scope, budgets, staffing, and schedules
- Ensure projects stay within scope and budget by monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed
- Review survey field calculations and modify them as necessary
- Communicate effectively with internal staff, contractors, inspectors, and team leaders
- Attend training, industry conferences, and networking events to enhance skills and industry knowledge
Requirements
- The ideal Project Surveyor will have an advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, Plan interpretations, along Real Estate Documents.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- Prior experience with Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center is highly preferred.
- LSIT or PLS certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with Project Managers and share expertise during proposal and project planning phases, including establishing project scope, budgets, staffing, and project schedule.
- Ability to review survey field calculations and adjust as needed.
- Effective communication skills to interact with internal staff, contractors, inspectors, and team leaders.
- Willingness to attend paid training and development events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities.

Compensation range: $80,000 - $130,000 USD
