Job Description
The Associate Project Manager at Atwell, LLC is responsible for coordinating and delivering land development projects from concept through construction, managing schedules, budgets, permitting, and client communication, while supporting technical design work and project planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage land development projects from concept through construction.
- Assist with project scoping, fee development, scheduling, and planning.
- Coordinate internal teams, resources, and workflows to ensure project progress.
- Participate in client meetings, prepare notes, track action items, and support communication.
- Contribute to proposal development and business development efforts.
- Prepare and coordinate permitting packages across multiple agencies.
- Support strategies to streamline permitting and approval processes.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to support site layout, grading, utility design, and land development components.
- Assist in designing water, wastewater, surface water management, roadway, and stormwater infrastructure.
- Partner with senior engineers to ensure high-quality technical deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC ABET accredited university
- PE (Professional Engineer) license required
- Strong Civil 3D design experience
- Familiarity with HydroCAD, WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD preferred
- Experience in supporting site layout, grading plans, utility design, and other land development components using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to assist in the design of potable water and wastewater systems, surface water management systems, roadway layouts, and stormwater infrastructure
- Experience in coordinating and supporting permitting packages across multiple agencies
- Ability to assist with project scoping, fee development, scheduling, and overall project planning
- Experience in helping guide projects through all phases from entitlement to construction
- Ability to participate in client meetings, prepare notes, track action items, and support day-to-day client communication
- Experience in contributing to proposal development and business development research
- Ability to partner with senior engineers to ensure high quality, accurate, and efficient technical deliverables
- Experience in assisting with technical design work related to land development projects
