Job Description
The role involves providing expert support in report writing, site plan design, drainage, grading, and site analysis for land development projects, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring project quality and compliance within a leading engineering and consulting firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in report writing, site plan design, drainage, grading, and due diligence site analysis reports
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to review and complete assignments according to standards and deadlines
- Mentor junior staff and assist with technical questions related to Land Development projects
- Perform quality assurance and quality control on all project deliverables
- Review and seal project documents to ensure compliance with engineering standards
- Analyze survey data and existing site conditions for development considerations
- Complete plan edits and modifications based on agency, municipality, and client revisions
- Communicate project workflow status to Project Managers and Team Leaders
- Contribute to achieving team financial objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 12 years of previous experience in Residential, Commercial, or Industrial Land Development
- Serve as a subject matter expert in report writing, site plan design, drainage, grading, and due diligence site analysis reports
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to review and complete assignments on time and within Atwell standards
- Mentor junior staff and assist with technical questions related to Land Development projects
- Provide quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on all project deliverables
- Review and seal project documents to ensure compliance with engineering standards
- Review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions and factors to consider for development, including legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents
- Complete edits and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities, and clients as directed
- Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders on workflow status to meet chargeability goals
- Contribute to achieving the financial objectives of the team
