Job Description
The Landscape Designer at Atwell, LLC supports project teams by designing landscape architectural elements, utilizing design software, and assisting throughout various project phases from conceptualization to construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop landscape architectural plans using AutoCAD and related software
- Support project teams by addressing landscape architectural issues across project phases
- Prepare drafting documents, computations, and construction-related service plans
- Participate in the design process from conceptual to construction administration phases
- Complete site visits and communicate project status to the Project Manager
- Modify and edit plans based on reviews by agencies, municipalities, and clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- 0-4 years of experience with the design of landscape architecture projects.
- Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD and related software to complete assignments on time and within prescribed standards as outlined in the RVi Quality Assurance Quality Control manual and established standards.
- Ability to provide support in drafting documents and computations.
- Participation in the design process including understanding of the industry standard conceptual through construction administration design phases.
- Ability to prepare opinions of probable costs, project schedules, and complete construction-related services.
- Capability to complete edits and modify plans as reviewed by agencies, municipalities, and clients as directed.
- Ability to complete site visits as required.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with the Project Manager on workload status, schedule, and tasks to meet designated chargeability goals.
- Advanced understanding of technical skills including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, technical writing, Revit, Lumion, and MS Office.
- Physical ability to complete site visits as required (implied by the need to complete site visits).
