Job Description
A Civil Engineer EIT responsible for supporting project teams in designing and managing civil engineering projects, including preparing plans, reports, and permits, conducting site visits, and collaborating with clients and agencies to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project teams on civil engineering assignments, providing technical guidance and training.
- Collaborate with project teams and clients to prepare project documents and proposals.
- Draft, review, and finalize project deliverables such as site plans, engineering reports, cost estimates, project schedules, and permit applications.
- Make edits and modifications to plans based on client and agency feedback.
- Research local zoning requirements and conduct site visits and field assignments.
- Analyze site survey data and development factors.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete engineering assignments efficiently and accurately.
- Communicate effectively with clients, municipalities, and agencies under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Update Project Manager and Team Leader on workload status.
- Apply fundamental engineering concepts to practical project situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Two to four (2-4) years of experience in civil engineering, with experience leading design aspects of development projects preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Grading Design, Technical Writing, 3-D Modeling, MS Office, and Plan Interpretation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent workload management skills
