Job Description

The role involves managing civil engineering projects by collaborating with teams, analyzing site data, preparing technical reports, supporting construction activities, and developing project management skills within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans and construction documents
  • Analyze project survey data and existing site conditions, including legal descriptions and easement documents
  • Guide and assist junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient project task execution
  • Prepare technical reports, opinions, and recommendations such as hydrology studies and storm sewer reports
  • Provide construction support, including permit applications and quantity estimates
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget
  • Develop project management skills through training and mentoring for future growth into a Project Manager role

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering project management or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and various engineering software packages.
  • Ability to analyze project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
  • Experience in preparing reports, opinions, and recommendations related to hydrology hydraulic studies, project schedules, storm sewer reports, and other technical documents.
  • Experience in providing construction support services, including permit applications and quantity estimates.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with the production team to draft, review, and finalize preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
  • Leadership skills to guide and assist junior staff, ensuring project tasks are executed accurately and efficiently.
  • Willingness to develop project management skills through training and mentoring, with the potential to grow into a Project Manager role.
