Job Description

A Senior Audit Associate at Aprio works with clients to improve financial reporting, internal controls, and evaluate accounting issues, helping them mitigate risks and stay compliant with regulations while supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in improving financial reporting capabilities and internal controls
  • Evaluate accounting issues and stay updated on new accounting regulations
  • Assess the quality of financial information used for strategic decision-making
  • Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements
  • Work with audit experts to mitigate financial and business risks for clients

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing or a related field.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial reporting capabilities and internal controls.
  • Ability to evaluate accounting issues and stay current with new accounting regulations that could impact long-term business growth.
  • Experience working with businesses and industry leaders to identify and mitigate financial and business risks.
  • Strong understanding of assessing the quality of information used for strategic business decisions.
  • Ability to identify areas for operational efficiencies within client organizations.
  • Credentialed as a CPA or equivalent certification is preferred or required.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of professionalism.
  • Willingness to work with a team of credentialed audit experts and collaborate on complex audit and advisory projects.
