Job Description

The Audit Manager for Employee Benefit Plans will oversee and manage audit engagements related to employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance and quality standards while leading a team within a dynamic, growth-oriented CPA and advisory firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee audits of employee benefit plans
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards during audits
  • Coordinate with clients and team members to gather necessary audit information
  • Review audit work papers and reports for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients

Requirements

  • Candidates must have experience working with Employee Benefit Plans in an audit or assurance capacity.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in auditing Employee Benefit Plans or related fields.
  • Candidates must possess a CPA license or equivalent certification.
  • Candidates must have a thorough understanding of auditing standards and procedures related to Employee Benefit Plans.
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead audit engagements and supervise team members effectively.
  • Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to Employee Benefit Plan audits.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members, both verbally and in writing.
  • Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel as required to client sites, if applicable.
  • Candidates must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to audit and assurance services.
