Job Description
The Audit Manager for Employee Benefit Plans will oversee and manage audit engagements related to employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance and quality standards while leading a team within a dynamic, growth-oriented CPA and advisory firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee audits of employee benefit plans
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards during audits
- Coordinate with clients and team members to gather necessary audit information
- Review audit work papers and reports for accuracy and completeness
- Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients
Requirements
- Candidates must have experience working with Employee Benefit Plans in an audit or assurance capacity.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in auditing Employee Benefit Plans or related fields.
- Candidates must possess a CPA license or equivalent certification.
- Candidates must have a thorough understanding of auditing standards and procedures related to Employee Benefit Plans.
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead audit engagements and supervise team members effectively.
- Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to Employee Benefit Plan audits.
- Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members, both verbally and in writing.
- Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
- Candidates must be willing to travel as required to client sites, if applicable.
- Candidates must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to audit and assurance services.
