Job Description
The Senior Engineering Manager at Amperity leads a high-performing engineering team to develop scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance customer data management and insights, focusing on large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team to develop solutions for complex data challenges with customer impact
- Mentor engineers and foster an environment of collaboration, psychological safety, and problem-solving
- Design and implement large-scale data systems, cloud-native infrastructure, and full-stack experiences
- Collaborate with leadership to establish best practices, promote learning, and ensure technology meets customer needs
- Ingest and process large volumes of data, blending batch and real-time events to create accurate customer profiles
- Translate research algorithms into reliable, high-scale production systems
- Enable real-time querying capabilities for quick insights
- Develop full-stack user experiences to support marketing campaigns and customer journeys
- Shape the evolution of the UI toward AI-first, agentic workflows that guide users from intent to insights and actions
Requirements
- 12 years of software development experience, including recent hands-on work with large-scale distributed systems, big data, analytics, cloud-native technologies, and AI at scale.
- 5 years of management experience in software engineering.
- Experience leading complex, cross-team projects in close partnership with product, customers, and engineering teams.
- Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge and explore new technologies through practical, hands-on work.
- Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners with a knack for making complex topics clear and actionable for diverse audiences.
