Job Description
The DevSecOps Engineer at AlertMedia is responsible for building and securing cloud-based infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and integrating security best practices into the development lifecycle to support the company's mission of emergency communication and threat identification.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous deployment and integration.
- Evaluate, implement, and improve security measures across applications and infrastructure, including vulnerability assessments and security automation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices into development and deployment processes.
- Research and analyze cyber security threats, trends, and attack vectors to enhance security protocols.
- Manage and optimize large-scale cloud deployments, ensuring reliability and scalability during critical events.
- Integrate emerging AI technologies into engineering and security workflows.
Requirements
- A B.A. or B.S. degree is desired.
- At least 5 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure in Amazon Web Services.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a dedicated DevSecOps Engineering role.
- Experience with network, infrastructure, container orchestration, and application security best practices.
- Strong expertise with Linux, Docker, containerization, and networking fundamentals.
- Comfortable writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) code.
- Experience managing large-scale deployments.
- Experience securing multiple AWS accounts and environments, including managing access between accounts for users and some resources.
- Experience with security automation tools such as SAST, DAST, CSMP, etc.
- Experience implementing shift-left principles in CI/CD environments.
- Knowledge of authentication technologies such as SAML and OAuth.
- Proficiency in at least one coding language, with Python being a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The role is open for remote work location in Mexico.
