Job Description
The DevSecOps Engineer at AlertMedia is responsible for building and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS, integrating security best practices into development workflows, and continuously improving security tools and processes to support the company's emergency communication solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and secure cloud infrastructure in AWS using IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous deployment and integration
- Implement and evaluate security measures, including vulnerability scanning and security best practices, across systems and applications
- Manage and optimize large-scale cloud deployments ensuring reliability and scalability during critical events
- Assess and integrate emerging AI technologies into engineering and security workflows
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into development processes and ensure best security practices
- Research cyber security threats, trends, and attack vectors to improve security posture
- Manage security automation tools such as SAST, DAST, and CSMP, and implement shift-left security principles in CI/CD environments
Requirements
- A B.A. or B.S. degree is desired.
- At least 5 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure in Amazon Web Services.
- At least 3 years of experience in a dedicated DevSecOps Engineering role.
- Experience with network, infrastructure, container orchestration, and application security best practices.
- Strong expertise with Linux, Docker, containerization, and networking fundamentals.
- Comfortable writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) code.
- Experience managing large-scale deployments in cloud environments.
- Experience securing multiple AWS accounts and environments, including managing access between accounts for users and resources.
- Experience with security automation tools such as SAST, DAST, CSMP, etc.
- Experience implementing shift-left principles in CI/CD environments.
- Knowledge of authentication technologies such as SAML and OAuth.
- Proficiency in at least one coding language, with Python being a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The role is open for remote work location in Mexico.
