Job Description
The Billing Manager at AlertMedia oversees and optimizes the end-to-end billing process for subscription and usage-based revenue, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency while leading a team and collaborating with cross-functional partners to improve automation and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end billing process for subscription and usage-based revenue
- Ensure timely and accurate invoice generation and manage billing exceptions
- Lead day-to-day billing execution, including prioritization and resolution of complex billing scenarios
- Manage the billing and collections team to ensure accurate and timely work completion
- Partner with systems teams to improve automation, workflows, and process efficiency
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort and enhance invoice quality
- Track, analyze, and report on key billing metrics such as efficiency, cycle time, and accuracy
Requirements
- Six (6) years of experience in billing, accounts receivable (AR), or revenue operations.
- Strong understanding of subscription and/or usage-based billing.
- Experience managing high-volume billing processes.
- Experience managing teams or serving as a team lead, including setting priorities, providing guidance, and driving accountability.
- Ability to balance accuracy and speed in execution of billing processes.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Success teams.
- Strong organizational skills and decision-making skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
